I know I harp on this all the time. The sheer quantity and quality of creativity this simple device facilitates will never cease to amaze me. Though the components are of higher quality and better design than the first board I ever had, the basic configuration and operation of this board is exactly the same. Every time someone comes out with some weird board design it’s never better. Always worse. Especially trucks. There are pretty much two configurations of trucks that actually work. Anytime someone designs a new weird one it always feels like an accident waiting to happen.

A lot of us agonize over some of the more minute details about our set ups, but the overall simplicity of the skateboard is beautiful.
