Simple Stuff

It’s Saturday, it’s almost 6:30 PM, and I just finished skating. Posting everything from my phone. Created the video on my phone.

I went out today at 4 PM, which of course is earlier than I like to skate but we take what we can get these days. I went to my usual practice spot but just wasn’t feeling it, then I went to another couple of spots and still wasn’t feeling it and then came back here, And then discovered that I had left my iPod on the pavement in an empty parking lot across town. So I hauled ass back over there and there it was just laying there. Very lucky it didn’t get run over or taken. I guess I just dropped it off the top of some of my shit as I was leaving.

You don’t skate at your top capacity every session. Sometimes you go out and you’re tired from the week, like I am today, and all you can really do is roll. And luckily in skateboarding rolling is enough. When I’m feeling frustrated I stop, take a few breaths, and then just cruise around. Best feeling in the world. At least on a skateboard. Then instead of working on new tricks I just did extremely basic stuff like this trying to make it as smooth as possible, especially at the transitions. Next time I come over here I need to take my push broom, because the area under the trees is just covered with acorns and twigs and crap. Overall a good session.
